How much is the average Australian family saving for a fridge and freezer?
The latest data from the ABS, which surveyed households in October, suggests the average household is saving $11,811 per annum on average.
This includes $8,821 for the purchase of a refrigerator, $835 for the use of a freezer, $2,400 for a freezer freezer cover and $3,700 for a gas-powered appliance.
The survey also found that nearly half of households have more than one refrigerator or freezer, and the majority have at least one gas-operated appliance.
